Peacefully, on Monday, May 28, 2012 at Parkwood Hospital, London after a short, brave battle with cancer, in his 53rd year, formerly of Brampton. He will be sadly missed by his daughter Katie. Beloved son of Duncan and the late Rene Stalker. Also survived by a sister Jackie, nephew Brody Duncan, ex-wife and dear friend Stephanie Clowes and her husband Ron, and close friends Andy and Linda Kennery. He found many ways to demonstrate his joy for life, watching his daughter complete her first year at University and cheering his nephew on in hockey and golf. He was so proud to see his daughter and nephew grow into fine young people. David took pride in his twenty-eight year career as a printer at Data Group of Companies in Brampton, where he had many friends. He believed that the true path to happiness was to lead a simple life, love and cherish your family, and to be kind to others. David and his family would like to thank the wonderful, caring staff at Parkwood Hospital Palliative Care Unit in London for taking such good care of him and keeping him comfortable in the final chapter of his life.
Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Saturday, June 2nd beginning at 1PM until 3PM at which time David will be taken to his final resting place St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

30 years after meeting Dave I know he dearly loved life, family, and friends. Duncan, you and Rene raised a wonderful, hard working, and caring son. You must be very proud. Dave and I did some catching up a few weeks ago and he beamed with pride for his Katie, giving full credit to Stephanie. Of course, he had to know what’s up with my own children. Stephanie, Kevin, and Bradley fondley remember their “Uncle Dave”. We all do.
Jim & Andrea Macdonald and family.
Our heartfelt condolences for the family. Dave was a good friend and father and will always be remembered fondly. I know Dave valued family and friends more than anything . To Dave, friends are for life. I know that Katie meant everything to Dave.

Dear Katie, Jackie, Duncan and Stephanie,
My deepest sympathy to you all in the loss of Dave, The Parkwood friends including nurses, volunteers and especially his smoking community are very sad these days.
I personally came to love this dear man from the moment I met him. He was a very special person and this was recognized by all.
The first day I met him he was sharing his Chinese food with Greg. He was cutting the food for Greg and being a real friend. I think they became very close buddies.
He was so kind and respectful of Joan and made her feel very special. She always looked forward to seeing him and really feels his loss.
He told her he would be there to meet her when her time comes..
He took the high road on his journey and I hope many of us can learn from his example.
Never lose the pride of having had him in your family. He was an exceptional man. I am proud to say I knew him.
My thoughts are with yoiu all.
God Bless,
Mary
