Passed peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, London with his family by his side on October 24, 2020 at the age of 60. Beloved spouse of Diane Young for 35 years. Adored father of Jessica Davis. Brother and brother-in-law to Douglas, Raymond and Jan, James and Rita, Gerald, Joy and Ross, Ann and John, Nancy and the late Raymond and Sharon and Gord. Survived by his mother Marilyn June Davis and mother-in-law Mary Young. Philip will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by His father Ronald Keith Davis (2020) father-in-law George Young (2017) and niece Shelby (1991).
Philip worked at the LCBO, London for ten years and Sterling Trucking for 17 years. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider, and was always there to support his daughter Jessica through life. He enjoyed helping friends work on stock cars at the Delaware and Jukasa speedways and doing projects around the house. One of his last projects was the family backyard which he took great pride in. A job always needed to be done the right way! His way!
The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at the St. Joseph’s Hospice, London for the exceptional care and compassion they provided.
A private memorial service will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, LUCAN on Wednesday October 28, 2020 at 2 PM. Though the service is private, the family invites you to join with them from the comfort of your home. Stream the service live by visiting www.facebook.com/haskettfh. Interment St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye.
Donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, London or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

Phil, knowing that you can rest in “stillness” now is the only consolation we have at this time. While your passing has been a difficult loss to accept, we know the telling of our shared family memories and stories of our lives with you will help us heal… although no one can tell a story quite like you!
Diane and Jess, our hearts are with you both in a way words can barely express. Just know our support and love will always be present.
Love and hugs, Jim and Rita

Diane, Jessica and the Davis family,
We are so sorry for your loss and are thoughts are with you all at this very difficult time. I have lots of fond memories of my talks with Phil over the years. He always talked about Jessica and would share stories about whatever was going on in her life. Whenever we carpooled together, we always found something to laugh about and would talk about how we both loved small town country living. It was a beautiful final touch having the Harley take Phil to his final resting place.
Our thoughts are with you all.

My condolences go out to the Davis family during this challenging time. I’m truly sorry for your loss. It was my absolute pleasure getting to meet Phil when he joined us at the LCBO some 10 years ago. We were co-workers then and over the 10 years got to know each other very well. At work we chatted about pretty much anything and everything to pass the time. Our conversations would range from Harley’s to the housing market to Ford trucks and family. He and I would chat about his wife Diane and daughter Jess often and to me it was obvious how much they meant to him. We talked about my kids and what they were up to in their hockey as well as all the landscaping and projects that were going on in his back yard. Phil loved to talk about his buddies also. Lots of conversations were had about Nightmare and Diesel! I will truly miss my friend Phil. He was a great person and hard worker, my thoughts and prayers are with the Davis family.
