After a brave battle with Alzheimer’s, Mary Anacita (Anne) de Boer, born August 15, 1942 went to be with Our Lord and Saviour on Saturday, April 15, 2023 with her family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Arend de Boer (2019). Loving mother of Suzanne DeKay, David de Boer, the late Mark de Boer (1980), Tracey (Brian) Jones, and Lisa de Boer. Proud Granny of 7 grandchildren; Danielle (Oliver), Mark, Elliot (Angela), Sarah (Jamie), Andrew (Barbara), Payton (Luke) and Luke de Boer along with 7 great grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by her siblings from the Ottawa Valley along with many nieces and nephews. Cherished by members of the Lucan St. Patrick’s Parish CWL.
Anne was a long-time resident of Lucan and successful businesswomen in Lucan for over 25 years until her retirement in the late 1990s. Throughout her life, she enjoyed golfing, tennis and aquafit with her friends at the YMCA.
We love you Granny; we will see you again and until then we are comforted knowing that you are reunited with your family and friends gone before you.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 32922 Richmond Street, Lucan, on Friday, April 21st at 11AM. If you are unable to attend the service in person, the family invites you to join with them from the comfort of your home. Stream the service live or at your convenience by visiting http://www.facebook.com/haskettfh. Following Mass, family and friends are invited to the Lucan Biddulph Community Memorial Centre’s Senior Active Centre at 263 Main Street, Lucan, for a time of remembrance and refreshment from 12 – 3PM. Cremation to follow and a private family interment will be held at St. Patrick Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society – Southwest Partners.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).
