Mark & Brian and Families
Mark, what do I say (mmmmmwwwaaaahhh) Pls find comfort knowing your not alone. I had a short time to know your mom and never got to meet your dad. Your mom was truly an amazing woman. Mark you are a reflection of who your mom and dad were. Your mom was so proud of who and what you are today. I will always remember her great smile, bubble personality and the twinkle in her eyes. These qualities would show with great character especially when Brian would put his arm around her OR when you would joke with her and say speak up I can’t hear you. Brian you also are an amazing man and it showed when you and Minnie were together. Brian you sure knew how to put a smile on her face. I will always cherish the times shared with Mark, Minnie and Brian at Sean and Sherri’s we had some great laugh’s.
To Minnie’s sisters, it sure would have been a blessing having a sister like Minnie in your lives. Something that will be cherished by each of you i am sure. Minnie could bring life and energy to a room.
Although Minnie’s life was cut short as a great mother to Mark, a companion to Brian, a great sister, and friend to many, she truly did touch many lives, one being mine. We all carry our own special memory of Minnie that will live on in each and everyone of us. Lean on each other, find comfort in your faith, and also know that she is looking down on everyone. She is probably saying, don’t cry cause I am not that far away. I wish to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of Minnie to Mark, Brian, the Deitz and Rooseboom and Chappel Families. God Bless!!

As a former ‘Tinkertown’ girl, myself, I clearly remember when the Rooseboom family moved to our quaint Hensall neighbourhood. ‘British Flags’ and ‘Red Rover’ after supper, collecting chestnuts from Grandma Lee’s tree and waxing the leaves for our school projects… there was always something going on and it was so cool to have these very pretty new girls (with the “hunk” of a brother) to hang out with. Minnie was in my grade. She was always asked to be the class secretary because of her beautiful penmanship. Her totally cool parents let Minnie host a going away party for our friend,Susan Broadley. It was a great time in our lives. When our high school courses differed,we just saw each other after school at ‘the Burkley’. It was the best after school hang out … with the back room reserved just for students. We grew up, went our different ways, but stayed connected through family milestones and community events. These events, like her marriage to Gary and Mark’s birth gave us all satisfaction…there WAS something to read in the local paper that week and we knew the happy people involved… when something great happened to one Hensall kid, it’s like we all “done good” . I guess that’s why Minnie’s passing is such a sorrow. It’s a tremendous loss to Mark and the immediate family … to the kids from Tinkertown in the 60’s, it’s a link in our childhood chain of friends that has been lost … a piece of who we were and are. Rest in peace Minnie … you were loved and will be missed.
