It is with great sadness that the we announce the passing of Madeline Marie Denomme, peacefully at home, with her family by her side on Wednesday, September 19th, 2018 at the age of 68. Beloved wife and best friend for over 47 years to Paul Denomme. Beloved mother and mother-in-law to Jeremy Denomme (Louisa Bestard), Jennifer Newcombe (Kevin Newcombe), Rachelle Nguyen (Thuc Nguyen), and Danielle Denomme all of London. Cherished grandmother (Meme) to Halle Newcombe, Carson Newcombe, Leah Denomme, Julia Denomme, Sadie Denomme and Oliver Nguyen. Treasured sister to Martha (Ken) Mungar of St. Joseph, Elaine (Pat) Jeffrey of St. Joseph, Catherine (late Roger) Shepherd of London. Dear sister-in-law to late Jean (John & Brenda) Regier, late Larry (late Toni Martin) Denomme, and the late Peter (Marlene & George Harvey) Denomme. Predeceased by her parents Russell and Kathleen (Durand) Sreenan and her mother-in-law and father-in-law Adrien and Louise (Bedour) Denomme. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Madeline was a longtime member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph, Ontario where she had their cottage. As well as St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in London, Ontario. Madeline was well known for her strong faith and love of her family. Madeline’s legacy of warmth and kindness is proudly survived through her family, wealth of friends and lives she has touched throughout her life. She loved them wholeheartedly. Family was her home. Dear Paul, Jeremy, Jennifer, Rachelle, Danielle and Family,
Madeline’s profound love and joy of children was an inspiration and attestment to her faith. We are so grateful for the years Madeline cared for our children through their preschool ages. Madeline lived her faith in everyday situations by the way she listened, learned and connected with people in a very real way. She was truly a mentor of faith. May God’s embrace of support and healing grant you comfort and strength. We have your family in our thoughts and prayers as you journey forward. Our deepest sympathy.

I have very happy memories of Madeline and my sister Linda when they were young teenagers – stories about their trip to Hawaii and the several summers they spent at my parents’ cottage in Nova Scotia. My mother always considered Madeline her fourth daughter. I will always remember what a loving, kind and cheerful person Madeline was. My husband Peter and I send our deepest condolences.

Dear Jeremy, Jenn, Rachelle, and Danielle,
Your mother has always been the benchmark that I work towards in my parenting. She is going to live on not only in you as her children but in all the countless lives of those children she cared for over the years.
I know it can’t help soothe the pain today or over the coming weeks, months, and years. Hopefully someday soon you’ll see that her Spirit lives on in so, so many of us that were lucky enough to have had her fix a boo- boo at some point years ago and still remember the way she made everything feel all better.
God bless

Such sad news! When I received a message of Madeline’s passing I was shocked. Such a beautiful person, inside and out. I feel like I grew up being part of the Screenan family and to me, Madeline was Aunt Madeline. She always opened her home with love and warmth as if I were one of her own. It’s been years since we’ve spent time together, but the memories I do have make my heart warm. I can only imagine what you are going through Paul, Jeremy, Jenn, Danielle and Rachelle. My thoughts are with you and your extended family. I wish I could be there to celebrate the life of Aunt Madeline, but will be there in my heart.

Husband Dave and myself Donna Watson wish to express our deepest sympathy with the passing of Madeline. I remember years ago Madeline had a new born baby girl and needed a sitter so she could attend to something of importance. I was so honoured that she allowed me to take care of her beautiful little child. I held and rocked this wee one until her momma came for her. Madeline provided such a wonderful evening for me. May God bless.
