It has been a pleasure to have looked after your mother over the last few years.I have watched Doreen go from the fun loving laughing lady that truely loved Jack and all her family and grandchildren….She would light up as soon as she saw any of you .As the years went on and alzheimer&&single&&s took over her I saw her become lost in her disease. But what was so remarkable to watch was the love of this family to always be there for her. Your Dad would be so proud of you and Gary for filling his shoes after he was gone.To be there for her like you all were when the best of her was gone and she could no longer return your affection in a way that you could see, You just held her hand and continued to tell her everything that was going on in everyone&&single&&s life….decorated her room for every holiday….joined her every year for christmas dinner….and all the time respecting her by making sure she was dressed the way she would want to be…putting on her make-up and making sure her bangs were laying right because that is the way she would have wanted it.And most of all when you stopped taking pictures because you knew she would be devastated to see herself like that. You guys have been an inspiration to me and have taught me to be a better nurse when dealing with other residents with this disease ……My deepest Sympathy to you and your Families, Rose
