Norma, and boys, Darlene and John, Phyllis and Chuck, Ron and Deb, and siblings.,, I am so truly sorry for your loss. John Wayne was one of a kind, kind of guy,, who everyone liked. His “smart ass” dry sense of humor, his quick wit, and his friendly personality will be missed by so many. I doubt there is anyone who met John Wayne that didn’t automatically like him. as there was nothing not to like. There is a big void in your lives now, that nothing will ever fill. It is going to take time, and a lot of support from family and friends to help you through this,, and we are all here, if you need a hand or a shoulder to lean on. You are in my thoughts and prayers, especially during this very tough time in the following days ahead. Hugs to you all..
Margaret Brintnell

Please accept my deepest sympathy at your loss of a son, husband, father, brother and friend. I knew John Wayne at Exeter Public School, many years ago. I first met him on the school yard as a very young lad and he made quite an impression. He was trying to carve a spot for himself in the world the only way he knew how at the time. By reading all of the comments on this web site, I can tell he carved quite a wonderful spot for himself among his family and friends. I am so pleased he grew up to be a fine young man, funny, lovable, quick witted, memorable. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends at their loss.

I was shocked to here John Wayne had passed away! I’m glad I was able to see him this summer. We were still able to joke about him wanting to kick the Mustang, though he did not, because I had ticked him off for some reason or another. He was a regular face at our house, when he came to see the girls. My heart felt condolence to John Wayne’s family and friends. Rob.
