Dorothy, Julie, Mike, Bill, Karen, John, Sarah & families;
I am very saddened by the news about Dwight. Our families have been neighbours for so many years, it will be difficult not to see Dwight speeding along on his scooter. He always had time to stop and tell us a story or catch up on the news of his family and grandchildren. I remember Dwight taking the time to show my boys how to tap our trees for sap to make maple syrup. He will be greatly missed by all in Lucan. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.
Love,
Anne (Revington), Francisco, Anthony, Nicholas and Raymond Vidal.

Dear Julie, Bob and the Henderson Family;
I remember your handsome, wonderful Father. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I remember you Julie, I think you were the same age as my brother Ian McLellan. I also remember your Dad taking us to swimming lessons at Lucan Public Swimming Pool, and time flew by. I now have four sons and three daughters, and can appreciate who your Dad was even more. Our whole McLellan Family sends to you and your family our most sincere condolences. Take Care..Donna McLellan-Garland.

Dwight always had time though to stop and tell us a story or catch me up on the news of all his family and the grandchildren.
I will always remember how Dwight took time to show my kids how to tap the trees for the sap to make Maple Syrup. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.

It has been a true blessing to have known Dwight and his family for so many years. He truly was an inspiration and a guiding light during those Sunday School years. Organizing Sunday School Picnics in Kirkton and working with me as the Sunday School Treasurer for a few years. Trying to teach the Sr. class was a bit trying sometimes. Input from the Culbert and Revington boys always made the class interesting. Dwight will be missed and remembered by many, for always being friendly, positive and more than willing to help out. Truly a great man. Take care and God Bless.

Mike and Jackie Dewan
Mike has so many funny Hydro stories about working with D.J. Some of them revolve around his love of shelled peanuts and the state that the hydro truck looked like when he was done with it for the day!Dwight was for sure a person you could call quite the “character”.Dorothy and Dwight always made you feel welcome to “drop in” and if you were lucky ,it was around the time the Hot Cross Buns were being prepared.Thank goodness for large families who can comfort each other at a sad time like this. The Dewan family sends you our best wishes and thoughts to ALL of you!…. Mike and Jackie Dewan and family.

Dwight and I had a great visit at the Exeter hospital just a week ago. We reminisced about the old Lucan days and our years together at Hydro. I clearly remember the day Dwight walked into the Lucan hydro office, in the late fifties, transferring from Bothwell. I also have a few of his favourites recipies. We talked about our children and grandchildren and it was very clear how very proud Dwight was of all his family.
My sympathy to Dorothy and the Henderson family.

We are very sorry to hear of Dwights passing. The kids have fond memories of him and Dorothy as their adopted “grandparents”. Eric loved helping him in the garden and ride with him on his tractor. And of course who could forget the home made peanut brittle and donuts (yum, yum)……And Sarah was a wonderful babysitter. The Hendersons are a very special family who opened their hearts to everyone!

Dorothy ,and the Henderson Families,
We’re so sorry to hear of Dwight’s passing. He has left the gift of wonderful memories to all who knew him. I also remember the homemade donuts , sauerkraut (which I admit I still don’t eat ), the tire swing at the little house,chickens in the barn,and his beloved Hoby. Another of Lucan’s finest has gone, but I’m grateful for having known him. Dwight, with his beloved wife Dorothy raised a family with good, kind hearts. Our thoughts are with all of you during this difficult time.

Sorry to hear of his passing. He was a lovely man and always friendly to whom ever he met. I will always remember his smile. Every time I drove from Goderich to London through Lucan, I would look to see what he had for sale on the sign on his lawn. I will miss that.

I am so sorry to hear of Dwight’s passing.I will miss seeing him come in to the store.I will never forget the day he came in with his new “legs”. He was so excited when he said to me”look I’m standing”. He always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. May your memories comfort you in the days ahead. He is out of pain and standing on his own “legs” now with God beside him.
