At Riverside Glen, Guelph on Monday, November 5, 2012, formerly of Exeter in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of Donald Ecker of Guelph. Dear mother of Janet Ecker Nelson (Derek) of Ajax, Cathy Helps (Bruce) of Guelph, Doug Ecker (Betty Robinson) of Exeter and Gayle Ecker (Paul Rhodes) of Guelph. Dear grandmother of Donald and Lee-Sah Helps. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Glenn and Janet Chowen of Hamilton and Kathleen Chowen of London. Predeceased by her brother Bruce Chowen.
A small service for family and close friends to celebrate Melva’s life will be held at the Arkell United Church, 600 Arkell Street, Arkell on Tuesday, November 13th at 2 PM with Rev. Willy van Arragon officiating. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment Exeter Cemetery, Exeter.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
