Peacefully at home with her loving husband and best friend of 71 years, Roy Ellis by her side on Sunday, June 9, 2019, of Lucan, formerly of Fredericton, New Brunswick, at the age of 88. Cherished mother of Gail Miller of Tampa, Florida, Gary and Lana Ellis of Ottawa, Linda Miller and Len Jessome of Kintore, Charlie “Chuck” and Lisa Ellis of Low Banks. Adored Grandma/Gigi of 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grand children. Predeceased by her parents John and Beryl (Graves) Wasson, grandson Christopher “Bucky” Miller, sisters Ruby, Ethel, Roberta, Hazel, Annie, and Mae, and brothers Frank, and Arthur. The family wishes to thank the VON, LHIN, and CCAC for all their care and compassion. A special thank you to Beverley, Nihla, and Lovey for their exceptional patient care shown to Shirley.
A memorial service will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN, on Friday, August 9th at 11 AM, with Reverend Matt Martin officiating. At Shirley’s request, cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at the family plot in New Brunswick at a later date.
For those who wish, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee.
