Peacefully with his family around him at London Health Sciences Centre, Westminster Campus on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 Eric Cameron Westman of RR 3 Granton in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Donna (Holland) Westman for 48 years. Dear father of David and Victoria Westman, Debra and Dale Neff and Ed and Heather Westman all of London and Carolynn and David Off of Kilworth. Dear grandfather of Erica, Greg and Jordan; Jessica, Maggie and Nicole and Jennifer, Matthew, Michael, Megan and Leah. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Doug and Joyce Westman, Bernice Cooke and Laurel Westman all of London, Margaret and Jim Zelinski of Aldergrove, B.C., Eldon and Doris Westman of St. Marys, Anne Watson of Lexington, KY, Ed and Sandra Holland of St. Marys and Ina Holland of London. Dear son-in-law of Elsie Holland of St. Marys. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and cousins. Predeceased by parents Harold and Edna Westman, father-in-law David Holland and brother-in-law Rev. Earl Holland. Eric was founder and manager/operator of a successful collision repair shop in London since 1960 which is managed by his family. He was a member of the London Executives Association, board member of the local Canadian Food Grains Bank, active member of Granton-Wesley United Church, charter member of the London Towing Association and member of the Birr United Church Cemetery Board. In his retirement years, he enjoyed maintaining the family farm where he was born, raised and it has been in the Westman family since 1855. He also cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren and refurbishing antique cars. Eric has planted many trees on the farm to leave as a living memory for the Westman Family. Friends may call at the C. Haskett and Son Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Friday 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral service will be held at Siloam United Church, 1240 Fanshawe Park Rd. E., London on Saturday, July 26th at 11 AM with Val Hodgins officiating. Interment Birr United Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Granton-Wesley United Church Women, Youth for Christ or local Canadian Food Grains Bank would be appreciated by the family.
