It is with greatest sadness that we announce the passing of a dear husband, father, and grandfather. Larry passed away peacefully at LHSC – University Hospital, London, on Monday March 30, 2020 at the age of 72. Cherished husband of Joyce (McBeath) Eveland for 50 years. Dearly loved by his daughter Christie and two sons, Cameron and Vanessa, and Cory and Rosa. Loving grandpa of James, and Caitlin Sapelak, and Gavin, Maaike, and little Caia Eveland. They will miss him with all their hearts. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Ruth Ann and Jeff Gosleigh, Linda and Tom Clement, Cindi Hunt, Penny Gollen, Scott and Karen Eveland, Jeanette and Ricky Stevenson, and Elizabeth Maidment. Larry will be missed by many nieces and nephews in both Canada and Scotland. Predeceased by his parents Norm and Ruth (Dewan) Eveland, brother David Eveland, parents-in-law James and Jerry McBeath, and his brother-in-law Steve Hunt.
Larry was the President and founder of Consolidated Sign & Lighting Services in Crediton. He was so proud to pass this company on to his sons and was very pleased with the work they continue to do today.
He was a dedicated life member of the Exeter Lions Club and enjoyed many good times with them. He spent many happy times at the cottage on Lake Onaping, fishing and boating the lazy summer days away. Then, before the snow flew, heading down to the warm climate at our Florida home for the season. We enjoyed over fifty cruises to all parts of the world exploring together – Life was good! Larry, I want to thank you for 50 years of your love and devotion. Our hearts are broken.
Cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held this week. Due to limitations and social distancing, a celebration of life will be announced at a later date, where we can share memories, and a smile or two. Arrangements entrusted to Haskett Funeral Home, Exeter (519-235-1220). From our family to yours please stay safe and healthy in these remarkable times. Thank you so much to all of the emergency care workers who are risking their lives to help us every day.
Donations to London Health Sciences Foundation – Cardiac Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.

I was saddened to hear from Cam about the passing of Larry.
We started our company together, and were partners and friends for over 40 years. We retired together and the reins were passed to his sons.
We shared alot of good memories over the years.
He lived life to the fullest.
He will be dearly missed by us.

To the entire Eveland Family – What a great picture of Larry – it embodies his awesome spirit perfectly. Trevor has great memories of Lars and the boys at the Cottage over the years (however he couldn’t share with me any specific quotes that were suitable for aPG audience! Many, many laughs ensued.) Larry was blessed to have such an amazing family and we know his memory will stay with you fondly forever. He sure was a character and we could all learn from his care-free nature. Thinking of all of you during this time. Even though we can’t be with you in person, know that you’re in our thoughts and sending virtual hugs!!

Joyce and family. I speak on behalf of myself and my two brothers Ted, and Barry who grew up on Delmage Street a couple of blocks from the Eveland family. Lots of laughs and adventure with Larry who loved fast cars and fast women until he met Joyce (THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE). Thanks Joyce from all of us, as we could not control Larry aka BOOTS, as he certainly was mischievous in many ways which I choose not to elaborate. I must say: Larry was smart, industrious and ambitious and needless to say, he certainly put CONSOLIDATED SIGNS ON THE MAP. Looking forward to his celebration of life, once this insidious virus gets resolved. In closing, Larry certainly will on “through his children. Respectfully yours, Rick Niles Arva
