Peacefully, with her husband by her side at Jessica’s House, Exeter on December 24, 2021 of Hensall and formerly of Lucan at the age of 67. Dearly missed, loving wife and best friend of Larry Fowler for over 35 years. Beloved daughter of Joan Ryan of Delaware. Cherished Mom of Jason (2016) and Jennifer Skonieczny of Exeter, Karen Skonieczny of London, and step- mom of Carl Fowler, and Sherry Fowler. Loved “Testy” grandma of Dean and Jared Skonieczny. Dear sister of Rick Thomas (Lisa) of Thunder Bay, Stuart Thomas of B.C, Steven Thomas (Judy) of London, Keith Thomas (Jolene) of Brinsley, and sister-in-law of Barbara Morris of Toronto, Shirley Prentice (Gary) of Mount Brydges, Philip Fowler of Ailsa Craig, Margaret Shearing (Pete) of Delaware and Donna Fowler of St. Mary’s. Missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Predeceased by her father Ray Thomas (2012), and first husband George A. Skonieczny (1984).
Linda, Larry, Jason, and often Karen and the rest of the family along with many friends enjoyed many many days and weekends at the ¼ mile drag racetracks in Grand Bend, St. Thomas and throughout the USA. Racing with their 1936 Chevy named “Testy” and their 1955 Chevrolet.
Linda was a loyal employee starting at Campbell’s Soup in the early 70’s and continued at the St. Mary’s plant in many names until retirement under Maple Leaf Consumer Foods in 2019. Linda and Larry operated Nostalgic Auto Appraisal Service together in Hensall.
In keeping with Linda’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at a later date. Donations to Jessica’s House would be appreciated.

I am so sorry Larry family .
Linda was a wonderful person and I would enjoy sitting in front of the wood stove and it would be 1 or 2 am before we knew it.
The one thing I will remember the most is when you called me to go on a road trip in 2007 to Florida to get the chev . Linda thanked me for turning right and not left to go home so we could staying over night on the ocean because she said you had never seen the ocean before.. Don’t forget Daytona race track too. Also how can we forget about the fun right home in ice and then the snow storm. Fun drive not lol
It’s one trip I will never forget because I was with you and Linda.
I will stop in to see you very soon my friend Hugs
With love Kelvin

A note of condolence to all of Linda’s family from another branch of the Thomas family tree. I am a cousin of her father Ray, and in fact last met Linda and Larry at Ray’s funeral reception. I never got to know her, but reading all the messages from those who did, I am sorry I did not. She has left wonderful memories with all who knew and loved her so much, a treasure to cherish and sustain you in the days ahead.
I am so sorry for your loss.

Sending my condolences for the loss of Linda, from another branch of the Thomas family tree. Linda’s father, Ray, was my cousin. In fact I last met and spoke with Linda and Larry at Ray’s funeral reception.
I did not get to know Linda well, and reading all the wonderful tributes of those who did, I am sorry that I did not. She was obviously a special person to many, and leaves behind a treasure chest of memories to cherish and comfort you in the days ahead. Hold those memories and each other close.
Margaret Hill
My sympathies to Linda’s husband, children, and siblings. I didn’t have the priviledge of knowing Linda, who was my second cousin. Her father Ray was my first cousin on my father’s side. (Timothy Thomas). Reading the messages left by her friends and family, I realize I missed knowing a very kind person. Rest in peace Linda.
