Passed away at her home in Exeter on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Wilfred (Bill) for 65 years. Mother of Lynn Halladay, Ian, Jill and Stan Partridge, Brent and Laurie, Marc and Michelle, and Kevin. Proud Grandmother of 16, Great-Grandmother of 17 and Foster Mom to over 50. Survived by her brother Peter Corpse. Shirley will also be missed by her nieces & nephews in Canada and England. Predeceased by her parents, Edith and Harold Corpse, her brother Roy and nephew Neil, and her sister-in-law Carol and nephew Asa.
Shirley dedicated so much of her time to the communities she lived in, including minor hockey, girl guides, brownies, soccer, and the list goes on. She will be missed at the South Huron Recreation Centre, where she took admission for many years.
A special thank-you to Cassie, Michelle, and the rest of the nursing staff who visited Shirley regularly at home over the past few years.
A private memorial service will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, Exeter on Monday, October 19th at 2 PM. Cremation has taken place. Though the service is private, the family invites you to join with them from the comfort of your home. Stream the service live by visiting www.facebook.com/haskettfh.

Shirley willed be greatly missed by the entire South Huron Hockey community where she was the smiling face greeting all of us at the gate for several years. She was far more likely to know the current schedule than most of the families and kept us all rolling smoothly. Her love of hockey was evident to any lucky enough to discuss it with her. Our sincerest condolences to her family at this time.

Our deepest condolence to Bill and family. Although we are saddened by the news of her passing we are thankful and cherish the many times of the sharing smiles in warm and funny conversations with Shirley and Bill at the arena.
Her compassion for others were shown in actions throughout her life and so many have benefited from her kindness. She will be missed and when things open up again it is going to seem empty not seeing her at the arena anymore.
We are sending our love and prayers to all of you during this difficult time.
