Sorry we were unable to attend the visitation for Frank. Your family has lost a great man. We will always associate Frank with the Stephen Township Arena, hockey and the benefits of his strength and wisdom that the community of Huron Park was privileged to receive. I met Frank only a few times, but on the last occasion, a few years ago, I discovered that he was a very entertaining storyteller. Clearly he had a way with words, and a great sense of humour as well. Condolences to the family. I’m sure Frank will be well remembered and missed.

Frank’s family, We are sorry to hear of Frank’s passing. Frank was very likeable. He took time to talk to everyone that entered the Huron Park Arena. He sure knew his hockey and skating skills. We always said he and Rolly Vanstone in Hensall had great ice! Our girls skated on that ice many times. He also enjoyed the Centralia/Huron Park Lion’s Club.Remember your wonderful memories of your Dad and Mom. Hugs and prayers! George and Sue Wilson and Cathie, Judi and Tracy

Our deepest sympathy to all of the family, Frank was respected and like by so many families in the area, a man that cared deeply for his family and the community, remembered by many especially those of us that had the privilege of him being our arena Manager and caring for all our young people.
Bob Dawe
I met Frank many years ago shortly after moving to Huron Park. He was the strict arena manager who was not afraid to let anyone know if they were out of line . DON’T go on the ice till doors are closed no running or horse play in the rink. People never realized the extra time or effort he put into the arena but some of us did and appreciate all he did for the community. I got to know Frank and Rob better as years went on and got to see the home side of Frank ,always welcoming and glad to see you. He reminded me of my Dad with his personality . At his wife Joan’s funeral the Song Till We Meet Again was sung . This week Frank is with Joan and they are dancing. Good bye my friend

Dear Rick, Ron, Randy, Rob, Kathy & Families:
It is with a saddened heart that I am sending my sincerest sympathy to all of you on the loss of your dear Dad, Frank. Although it has been awhile since I last talked with Frank while I was working at Eric Campbell Ford Lincoln Ltd. in Exeter it seems just like yesterday. While he was waiting to have service on his vehicle at the dealership, we would always chat. I especially remember how proud he was when Kathy would accompany him to the dealership and look at the vehicles either in the showroom or out in the yard.
He was a remarkable, proud man who loved both his family & sports dearly. He loved to talk & share stories about his earlier hockey years – providing coaching & skating skills to kids of all ages at the Stephen Twp. Arena and for that shall be long remembered. He liked to boast that Stephen Twp. Arena had the best ice surface around & some great hockey players skated there.
Frank, along with your Mom, Joan raised a wonderful family. It is always hard to see our once lively parents leave this world behind – but know they are now reunited in Heaven forever. May the loving memories you have of your parents live on – in your hearts forever and help you through the difficult days ahead. “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal.” You have so many wonderful family, friends, neighbours and community behind you – supporting you to help you through the healing process. Take one-day-at-a-time.
May God keep you in his loving arms, as you grieve and celebrate Frank’s life. He is resting in the arms of the angels and may his journey to the next life be a great as he was on Earth. It was a pleasure to have known Frank – RIP Mr. Hockey!!

Thinking of all of you at this challenging time.
While I didn’t get to spend a lot of time with Uncle Frank, I have fond memories of the times I had in his company. I will forever remember riding in the car with him from London to Niagara one weekend that I was at UWO. Not only did he make me laugh, he introduced me to a whole new genre of music, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
Know that you are all in my heart as you say goodbye to a wonderful and loving man.

To the family of Frank;
Please accept our very deepest sympathy at this time. Frank was a wonderful teacher of hockey and skating skills. He taught both of our sons in summer programs and both sons benefited from all they learned. He gained a lot of respect from the players he worked with. He was strict, but fair, encouraging and positive and there definitely was no goofing around in his presence. We appreciate all he did for our two boys and for the Stephen Township arena. We have many great memories of our times spent with him. His presence has been missed from the arena for the last years.
