Peacefully, with family by her side at Huronview, Clinton on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the age of 88. Predeceased by her husband Edwin Hartel Gale (Oct. 6, 1995) and both her brothers, Robert and David Dawson. Survived by her sons Robert Gale (Bernadette) of Cambridge, Michael Gale of Bayfield, Herbert Gale (Lucy) of Bayfield and her daughter Beverley Kropac (David) of Niagara Falls. Fondly remembered by her 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, the Dawson/Kushner families and her great friend Kathy Trachsel. Margaret was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. Marg and Ed moved to Bayfield in 1976 as self employed business people. Margaret kept herself busy as a member of the Bayfield Lioness, a member of St. Peter’s Church, and volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul, Seniors for Seniors and babysitting for five loving local families. Margaret enjoyed her many travels throughout the years. Cremation has taken place. Haskett Funeral Home, ZURICH (519-236-4365) entrusted with arrangements. There will be private family interment in Smithville United Church Cemetery at a later date. Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada – Huron County would be appreciated by the family. Many thanks to the staff and volunteers of Huronview.
“May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields and, until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of His hand.”

To the Gale Family: We were so sorry to hear that you as a family liost your matriarch as Marg was. We loved her in our home and have many great memories of her with the children. She always was kind caring and compassionate but could still hold a firm voice. She had great witt and was a very logical caregiver. We knew everything would be fine when she cared for our 4 children, She has been missed in the past few years and you will certainly find a void in your lives. Long goodbyes are so difficult but please know you have been in our thoughts and prayers, RobertMichael, Herb and Beverley and families
