At Exeter Villa, on Wednesday, May 11, 2005 Gerritje (De Pee) Verkerk of Exeter in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Cornelis Verkerk (1998). Dear mother of Corrie and Art Schreuders of Tavistock, Audrey and Peter Boersma of RR 1 Hensall, Geri Westerik, Gretta Verkerk, and John Verkerk all of London, Mynie and Jack Zondag of Lynden, Wilma and Ned Ash of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jennifer and Gary Sorley of Teeswater, Sally and Peter Hummel of Sarnia and Joost and Dorothy Verkerk of Chappel Hill, N.C. Also survived by 32 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Elizabeth Bor of Holland. Predeceased by a daughter, 2 sons in infancy, 3 sisters and 1 brother. Friends may call at the Hopper Hockey Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the Christian Reformed Church, 332 Huron Street West, Exeter on Saturday, May 14th at 12 noon with Pastor Harry Frielink officiating. A private family interment at Exeter Cemetery. Donations to The Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family.
