Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, Kenneth Hilbert Gingerich, of Zurich, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on June 19, 2013.He was born on Dec. 5, 1929 in Stanley Township. Beloved husband of Jean Agnes Gingerich. Loving Dad of Norma and Jim Grainger of R.R. 2 Zurich, Elaine and Bert Knip of Exeter, Dale and Barb Gingerich of New Hamburg and June and Doug Schade of Zurich. Cherished and missed by his 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Keith and Helen Gingerich and Betty Steckle. Sadly missed by his step mother-in-law Della Gingerich and her son Melvin and Audrey Melick, his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Irla (Musselman) Gingerich, parents-in-law Amos and Edna Gingerich and one brother-in-law William Steckle. Ken was devoted to his family, friends and the church. He farmed in Stanley Township and then served the farming community as a mechanic at C. G. Equipment for over 30 years. His loved ones and all who knew him will miss his kindness and big heart.
Visitation in the J. M. McBeath Funeral Home, 49 Goshen St. N, Zurich on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Zurich Mennonite Church. Pastor Ken Gazley officiating. Interment Zurich Mennonite Cemetery.
