Your mom was a real gem. We will miss her at the auctions. It was only last month that she was there selling tickets for the hospital and of course bidding on a few pieces of china. We shared a common interest in local history, and she very kindly was always presenting me with clippings and books, one of which gave some info on my Amish great grandfather. I really cherish it, and the funny thing is that she was as excited giving it as I was in receiving it.. A lovely lady.

Sueanne, Audrey, Bruce, Dianne and family,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your beautiful mother. I spent a lot of time in your Mom and Dad’s house when I was growing up and your mom always welcomed me. I remember the quilt rack that was almost always set up in the front room with a quilt partially done and your mom knitting away as the TV played on in the background. Whenever I saw her over the past few years, she would tell me what all of you were busy doing in your own lives. You could tell how proud she was of each and every one of you. Your mom will be greatly missed.

Dianne, Bruce, Audrey and Sueanne,
I was so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. You know that I have fond memories of both your parents in relation to our skating world as teenagers! My greatest memory of your mom was her terrific sense of humour; we could always get her laughing! A few times I think she even rolled her eyes at us-probably mostly me! Remember the one early morning we were driving to London, Thompson Arena, and it was such miserable weather-we were sliding down the Elginfield road and convinced her to run the red light! There was no one else on the road but she was determined to follow the law. Your mom was one of the best; I will remember her always. Take care of each other at this difficult time. Thinking of you all. Sorry I could not be there in person.
