At LHSC-University Hospital on September 8, 2017, Bruce passed away following a massive stroke at the age of 66. Bruce is fondly remembered by his wife of 37 years, Deb, and is survived by his children Jeff of British Columbia, Brittany Grant (Christopher Denda) of Dorchester, and by his grandchildren Olivia Grant and Raiden Denda. Also survived by his sister Nancy Hergott of British Columbia, nephews Conrad and Simon, cousin Alan Grant (Gloria) and their family. Lovingly remembered by mother-in law Barbara McCulley, sister-in-law Pam McCulley-Bookham (John) of Fort St. John, B.C., niece Dana and nephew Micah and their families. Bruce leaves behind many family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Bruce and Doris (Malleau), infant brother Paul, and father-in-law C.W. (Chuck) McCulley.
Bruce was born in Toronto, raised in Guelph and spent his younger years riding dirt bikes with his best buddy Rick Burns (Pat) and his life long friends. Bruce moved to London in 1979 to attend Fanshawe College. It was there that he later began a career in co-operative education which lasted 25 years. After retirement from Fanshawe, Bruce realized his dream of opening an art gallery. He opened Grant Gallery in Lucan in 2007 and was a familiar face on Main Street for 9 years. Bruce was an avid fly fisherman and master fly tyer. He also enjoyed reading, cooking, and gardening. Anyone that had the pleasure of knowing him will know that he always had a smile, a joke, or a friendly ‘hello’ to share.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Monday, September 11, 2017, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Cremation has taken place.
Donations to the London Humane Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated by the family.

Debbie, Jeff, Brittany and family, I was beyond stunned to learn of Bruce’s most sudden and untimely death. Please accept my most sincere and heartfelt sympathy. I remember the conversations at the gallery when I would pop in doing my “rounds” on Main Street while I was in Lucan. I will doubly cherish the good work he did for some of my pieces of art – making them something more special with the exact frame. My heart breaks for you all. I will keep you in my prayers as you find your way through the coming days. God bless you all.
