It is with saddened hearts that our family announces the passing of Keith Grigg at LHSC – University Hospital on Friday, January 13, 2023 of Ilderton, in his 87th year. Cherished husband of Sonya (Lave) Grigg for over 65 years. Proud father of Kim Waugh (the late Brian Edwards), Laurie Kornmuller (Peter), and Jeff Grigg (Michelle). Adored Poppa of Matt (Nicole), Kiersten (James), Anna (Trent), and Claire and great-grandpa of Emily. Dear brother-in-law of Carl Lave (Gail Burns), Tony Lave (Gladys), and Grethe Henn (Scott). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Edith (Wyatt) and Isaac Grigg.
Keith was an active member of the community, first as a local farmer born and raised on the home farm on 14 Mile Road, then as a Transportation Coordinator for the Middlesex County Board of Education, responsible for all the school bus routes in the county. Later in retirement, he continued his involvement with many other volunteer programs.
Keith’s true passion and commitment, was to the Ilderton Lion’s Club. Keith first became a member in 1958 and then progressed within the Lion’s organization to District Governor and then rose to Chairman of the Governor’s Council. His various roles and responsibilities within the Lion’s Club gave him many joyous years of memories and long-lasting friendships that he cherished.
Keith was known for his gift of telling a good joke and his talent as a public speaker. He loved to be in the spotlight and he excelled at it. He was an avid hockey fan, devoted to the Montreal Canadiens and cheered on the London Majors with his good friend George Kennedy. Keith enjoyed his many vacations to England, Denmark, and wintering in Arizona.
To honour Keith and the full life he lived, a celebration of his life will be held at the Ilderton Community Centre, 13168 Ilderton Road, ILDERTON on Saturday, February 11th from 2 – 4 PM with words of remembrance at 2:30 PM. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at St. John’s Cemetery, Arva.
For those unable to attend in person, the words of remembrance will be posted on Saturday evening (Feb. 11th) by visiting www.facebook.com/haskettfh.
Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Keith, please consider the Lion’s Foundation of Canada Dog Guides or Humane Society London & Middlesex.

My memories of Keith begin with the very early years of Ilderton Lion’s Club when my father Frank Rosser was also a member. There was a time he and Sonya and my parents bowled together on Friday nights. Growing up they were an example of a wonderful couple, always deserving of the respect in the community they were given. Keith lived his life well!
Bill and I are thinking of all of you with sympathy.
