Allan was one of my 4-H leaders back in the late 60’s. I have talked to him over the years at auction sales and farm shows where he had his massive collection of old agricultural books and publications on display. He was a wealth of knowledge concerning farming history. I was able to have a short visit with him at Huronview a few months ago. Despite his health challenges, his wit and wisdom was still intact. He will be missed.

My deepest sympathy to Allan’s family.
Our paths crossed as leaders of The 4-H Farm Machinery Club.
I also enjoyed many years of family members sourcing books – Calendars from the store or Blyth Threshers.
Allan was a true gentleman.
