With his wife at his side and surrounded with Iove, Herbert CIifford McGowan passed away at Seaforth Community HospitaI, on Friday, June 29, 2018. In his 74 years among us, Herb was a source of Iove, kindness and caring within the circIe of his famiIy and friends, and in the community.
Herb wiII be IovingIy remembered by his wife Anja and his chiIdren Todd (CheryI) McGowan of Belleville and Sandra McGowan of Belleville. Cherishing memories of a speciaI grandpa are grandchiIdren Jenica, KyIa, Morgan, Kaeden, Jessica, and Kiersten, SamueI and GIenn, aIong with great grandchiIdren Owen, Keegan, Jonathon, Jack, CharIie, WaIker, Iiam, Brody, Maddison and Benjamin.
Herb was predeceased by his son-in-Iaw CarI Cashin and aII those in his Iarge famiIy circIe who have gone on before us.
Honouring Herbs wishes there wiII be no service and cremation wiII take pIace. PIease remember Herb by offering a gesture kindness to a friend or stranger. Arrangements are entrusted to McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth (519-527-1390).

Anja, my heart bleeds for you. Herb will be truly missed. My first memory of Herb is sitting in his directors chair reading the paper behind your teddy bear table at one of our many teddy bear shows. He tipped the paper down gave me a bit of a smirk that conveyed the chatterbox was back and kept on reading. I knew he was taking in everything we gossiped about.
