Dear Family,
I think of Mabel and cannot help but smile at the memories. Her laugh was infectious and her attention to detail noted. Meetings she hosted often included her fancy shaped sandwiches and there was a mint or chocolate on the side. I recall the night her carefully created layer cake came to the church on the roof of the car. She had set it there while putting other things for the meeting inside. Driving down Hern Line she heard a noise, realized something had happened, and remembered her cake . The cake had indeed landed on the road. Right side up and no harm done. A miracle! Tasty too! We enjoyed it with much laughter. Our community was blessed by her time among us. Sincerely, Margaret
