Suddenly, at her residence, on Friday, May 15, 2015, Philomene Anastasie “Lil” (Denomme) (Hoffman) Martens, passed away in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of Martin Martens and the late Anthony Hoffman. Dear mother of Helen Garton of St. Thomas, Leonard “Butch” and Sharon Hoffman of Hensall, Gayle Hoffman of Seaforth, Leroy and Wilma Hoffman of Centralia, Richard and Tracy Hoffman of Hensall, Wayne and Rose Hoffman of Zurich and Carol and Dave Peat of Owen Sound and step mother of Henry and Brenda Martens, Mathilda and Steve Flear, Tina and Tim Doherty, Marjorie and Kevin McGregor, Jeff and Karen Martens, Tim and Annette Martens, Andrew and Linda Martens and Liz and Paul Clark. Sadly missed by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents William and Alice (Ducharme) Denomme, 3 brothers and 3 sisters, sons Jerry and Donald and sons-in-law Sharon Willey and Perry Garton.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10 am until service time at the church. Fr. Matthew George celebrant. Interment St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.
