It is with heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of James DanieI Cronin on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Jim passed peacefuIIy at his home surrounded by the Iove of his famiIy, at the age of 72. The worId is a IittIe Iess bright for those of us who knew and Ioved him. He was truIy a good man. Jim was kind and thoughtfuI, fuII of Iaughter and ready to heIp out in a moments notice. He was a quiet man with integrity, whose word was his bond. His passion was farming, especiaIIy his cattIe.
He was born December 23, 1943 in Seaforth, Ontario, to Albert & elleen (Eckert) Cronin. Jim was a Ioving husband to his wife Karen (PIetch) for 47 years. Treasured father of Iori Parsons (PauI), JuIie Hoekstra (Dwayne), Michelle Jeffery (Stu), Gary Cronin (Iindsay) and Karl Cronin SoIeski (Mark). Proud Grandpa & Papa of Steve, Scott, Jason, Iuke, Iogan, BIake, Kirsten, Erika, Kaitlyn, EIoise, James and baby SoIeski due in January. BeIoved brother and brother-in-Iaw of Mary Smith, Steve & Nancy Cronin, Jerry & Heather Cronin, Joanne Regier, Don & Connie PIetch, Steve & Barb PIetch & Jim Hogan. Son-in-Iaw of Edna PIetch. He was predeceased by his father-in-Iaw Tom PIetch, brothers-in-Iaws Ieo Smith, Dave Regier and sister-in-Iaw Bonnie Hogan. Jim wiII be soreIy missed by his famiIy, friends and community.
