At London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 after a courageous battle with ALS, James “Jim” Irwin Parker of Grand Bend passed away peacefully in his 55th year with his beloved wife at his side. Deeply loved by his devoted wife and faithful companion Linda (Hartwick). Beloved father of Jenny of Strathroy, Laura of Grand Bend, David and Rosie of Texas and Andrew and Sheryl of Mississauga. Beloved papa of Owen, Morgan, Mason, David, Korina and Adam. Youngest son of Eileen Parker of Exeter and the late William Parker. Son-in-law of Pat Hartwick of London. Survived by brothers Doug (Henny) of Exeter, David (Lois) and John (Eleanor) all of London, sisters Betty (Larry) Johnson of Manitoba, Barbara (Geoff) Graham of Burlington and Beverley (Garry) Kline of Exeter. Special uncle to several nieces and nephews. Best friend of Terry Harris of Grand Bend. Friends and relatives are welcome to share memories of Jim with family at the Hopper Hockey Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 1st at 11 AM with Mrs. Margaret Vanderheyden officiating.
