My deepest condolences to the Carnochan and Devereaux families. I had the honour of working with Jean at BWYC and still carry fond memories of our time together. Jean set the standard for compassionate response for all of us in the Social Work department on how to serve youth and their families with care, laughter, and heart. She continues to be a model and guide in my work today; her impact reached beyond the walls of her workplaces and will be missed by so many. To her family, who she held highest of all, I hope that your shared memories bring you some comfort in these difficult days. I know her example will be a legacy that continues to live on.

I got to know Jean when she transferred to CPRI after the Bluewater Youth Centre closed. Jean had such a big heart! She always had a kind word for her co-workers, no matter if they were her peers or support staff. Jean had a quiet, kind soul but such a funky hairstyle. :-) I admired her very much as she truly made me feel special in my own right.
My heartfelt condolences to her daughters, grandchildren and extended family. I&&single&&m sorry that Jean won&&single&&t be present to share her “golden years” with you all. I&&single&&m grateful to have known her for a little while.
