So sorry to learn about Joan. I remember the first time I met her when she came with her Dad to our farm and brought a grey colt which we bought from them. We had that horse for years & years. She had a beautiful smile on her face and she was just a new teenager and I was just a kid and I thought she was so pretty. She kept that smile all the years I have known her.

To Joan’s family , very sad to hear of Joan’s passing. She was a wonderful neighbour on Church Street. We enjoyed many pleasant conversations and she was very proud of her family and spoke of you with great delight. She always had a twinkle in her eye and an interesting anecdote to share. She was one in a million, a very special lady and will be missed. Thoughts and prayers are with you. Helen

To Ronald, Jim, MaryAnne, Maureen, Bill, and Alexene and families,
I am so very sorry to hear of your mother&&single&&s passing. She had the most delightful sense of fun, and her laughter was magical. When I was a child and she was teaching (in Waterloo, if my memory is correct) she would sometimes bring home with her on Friday nights a toy or a Classics comic – and once there was a toy airplane with lights that sparked when pushed along a floor! And another time, when Gary and I were building a fort (he was always the guy with fascinating plans) at Grandpa&&single&&s place, we chanced upon your mother&&single&&s high school chemistry notebook: how fascinating and mysterious those drawings of retort stands and beakers were! We both felt that she was obviously incredibly brilliant! And I resolved that one day, I would study that too.
And then she met your dad, and they dated (how I admired his polished manners and infectious laugh – he was a very good-looking guy, and what a great raconteur!); soon they married and began their own family; and it was always great fun to visit with you all. So many wonderful memories.
When I visited her last, she was delighted to speak of each of you, and was so very proud to relate each person&&single&&s latest accomplishments. I must admit, I got some of it muddled trying to keep up, but she wasn&&single&&t stopping . . . Later, I pointed out that she was mentioned in Isabel Campbell&&single&&s History of Hibbert Township; she laughed and said, “At my age, of course I&&single&&m in all the history books!”
Our deepest sympathies to all of you on the loss of a wonderful, wise, and lovely lady.
We&&single&&ll all miss her very much.
Len

Dear Maryann….. I was so sorry to hear that your mother has passed away. My thoughts and prayers are definitely with you at this time. I know that you and your family are all very close, and I can understand your sadness at this time. How wonderful it was that you were able to visit your mother so very often, and I am so glad that you were able to be with her at the end. Your mom was a teacher so she must have been a good influence, helping to determine the lives of so many young people, over the years. If there is ANYTHING I can do for you at this time, please let me know.
