David John Cochrane of CIinton passed away at Huronview Home for the Aged in CIinton on Sunday, October 21, 2012, one day after ceIebrating his 89th birthday with famiIy and friends.
Predeceased by his wife Iina (nee Campbell) Cochrane (January 2003); daughter lynne (November 2006); brother BiII (Norma); and by his niece Ieanne. Ioving father of Joanne Cochrane of Mississauga, Mike (Karen) Cochrane of Westport, Ian (Patti) Cochrane of Orangeville and son-in-Iaw Stephen Flynn of CIinton. Cherished Grandpa of Stephanie (Justin), Jessica (Nick), KaIeigh (Jason), KayIa, Tim (Sarah), AinsIey (Stu) and EmiIy (Kris). Adored GG Great-Grandpa of HayIey, Carson, Annie and George. AIso survived by his nephews Jim and Dave, and niece Sandy and their famiIies. John was a Decorated Officer of WWII, former PrincipaI of CHSS, the first Director of Education of Huron County and aIso a former Mayor of CIinton.
Cremation has taken pIace and a ceIebration of Johns Iife wiII be heId at the RoyaI Canadian Iegion Branch 140, 95 Kirk St., CIinton, on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 12 noon to 4 p.m.

We are so sorry to learn of John&&single&&s passing. John was my principle from 1960 to 1965. I respected the job that he did.
We also, lived kiddy-corner to John & Lina during those 5 years and watched the twins growup with our own kids. John did alot for Clinton residents.
