Proverbs 31: 12-13, 25-31 “The Good Wife”
Our mother had these verses highlighted in her bible. They describe the virtues, skills and strengths of a good woman, which she used as a guide throughout her life.
Jean was born and grew up on the family farm on Airport Line. She became a dedicated elementary school teacher in several South Huron Communities. As an active Christian she was a church pianist for decades, a member of the Triebner Gospel Quartet and a participant of the Women’s Missionary Society. Jean supported the Gideons International in Canada along with her husband Donald G. Jolly. Quiet and humble but never without strength. We rejoice that she is now reunited with her husband and siblings in heaven.

Ann (Triebner) DeRosa
Dearest Aunt Marion and my cousins Don Jr. & Chris, Bette & David, Rob & Karen and Kathy & Glenn:
I am so sorry to hear about dear Aunt Jean and my heart aches for each one of you. I have so many fond memories of my Aunt Jean and the wonderful family dinners that had so much laughter and always ended up with some awesome desserts, a cup or two of tea and a friendly but competitive game of “Rook”. I recall how Aunt Jean would get that little sparkle in her eye when she would be dealt the “Rook”. Hold on to those special moments as they will give you comfort in the days to come, though they will pass quickly, and it won’t be so long before we are all reunited again.
John 11:25 (KJV)
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.

We are saddened to learn of your Mom’s, Grandmother’s and sister’s passing. She was an encouragement to us every Sunday morning as she faithfully attended Church services with a sweet and loving smile for all. A much loved lady whose family showed their deep love and respect for her in many ways. May God’s comfort help you through this time as you grieve losing her presence with you here. Regretfully we will not be able to attend.

Susan & Bob Gray
So sorry to hear about Jean’s passing. Our one consolation is the knowledge that “to be absent from the body is to be present with our Lord”.
As teenagers we appreciated the counsel and advice of Marion & Jean to the youth of Exeter Pentecostal church.
Bob remembers many times stopping in to Don senior’s basement workshop to work with him and swap stories of troubleshooting problems with radios & hi fi systems. This usually included a cup of tea graciously provided by Jean.
Our thoughts go out to the family during this stressful time.

I remember the fun times we had when my family would come from Guelph to stay with Aunt Jean and Uncle Don and the kids. Amazingly Aunt Jean could accommodate a house full of people and we always ate very well.
Nice memories.

Difficult to put into words how much I am missing my Aunt Jean. Aunt Jean and Aunt Marion have been my support over the last 3.5 years, a piece of my Dad. To my cousins Don Jr, Elizabeth, Robert and Kathryn my heart aches for you. There are no words to take away your pain just the assurance she is safe in Jesus arm. She has gone home.

Sending my condolences to Mrs. Jolly’s family. Mrs. Jolly was my grade 3-4 teacher at Zurich Public School a few years ago. I remember the year that I got glasses and I still had to sit in the front row of the classroom. My mom (also a teacher at ZPS) probably had something to do with that.
