Peacefully, on Thursday June 26, 2014 at Mount Hope, London, Helen Elizabeth Kleinstiver (nee Williams) of London and formerly of Dashwood and Bowmanville in her 93rd year. Beloved mother of Peter (Sandra) and incredible grandmother to Jesse (Grande Prairie, Alberta), Benjamin (Laura) (Boston, Massachusetts) and Joshua (London, Ontario). Also survived by her sister-in-law and friend, Ruth Scott of Guelph as well as numerous nieces and nephews. After 63 years of marriage Helen was predeceased by her husband Lorne in 2009. After graduating from Normal School (teacher’s college) in Peterborough and receiving her Royal Conservatory diploma in music (piano), Helen taught kindergarten for over twenty-five years at Exeter Public School and Stephen Central School. As a teacher, Helen touched so many lives in a most positive way. She will be remembered for her kindness, for her patience, and for her caring, gentle and selfless nature. Mom, Grandma and Aunt Helen – you will be dearly missed.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter (1 street West of Main) on Thursday, July 3rd from 7-9 PM.
Cremation has taken place followed by a private inurnment at Exeter Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made either to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ontario or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
