Isidore Louis LaPorte of Zurich, passed away suddenly at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the age of 68. Beloved husband and best friend of Paula (Thomas) LaPorte. Dear son-in-law of Bill Thomas and friend Jennie Rowe and the late Lee Thomas. Dear father of Dwayne and Theresa, Jeff and Shannon, Mark and Lori all of Zurich, Todd and Kimberley of R. R. 1 Dashwood and Shawn and Debra of Zurich. Loving grandfather of Justin and Courtney LaPorte, Natalie and Matt Steeper, Stacey LaPorte, Nicholas LaPorte; Brandon LaPorte, Brett LaPorte, Brady LaPorte; Jacob LaPorte, Emma LaPorte, Olivia LaPorte and great grandfather of Logan LaPorte. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Charles and Marie LaPorte, Sr. Bernadette LaPorte, Anthony and Cathy LaPorte, Bridgett and Leo Overholt, Marie and Anthony Denomme, Angela Watson, Philip and Patricia LaPorte, Lilliane LaPorte and Scott and Kathy Thomas. Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews and the Dalton family. Predeceased by his wife Mary (Dalton) LaPorte (1988), parents Noel and Rena (Ducharme) LaPorte, brother John LaPorte, brother-in-law Paul Watson and sister-in-law Rachelle LaPorte.
Visitation in the J. M. McBeath Funeral Home, 49 Goshen St. N, Zurich on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Joseph, Ont. Fr. Graham Keep celebrant. Cremation to follow. Interment in St. Boniface Roman Catholic Cemetery, Zurich. Parish Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Friday at 8:45 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of ones choice.

The store today completely somber… One customer told me you could hear a pin drop in there. We are devastated by the news, and can hardly fathom never seeing Izzy there anymore.
