To the LaPorte Family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you. When we think of John, we can’t help but smile. John was a gentle and kind-hearted man who loved to spend time with family and friends. He loved to laugh and share a drink (or two) with you! We have fond memories of John and Lil at our home in London for card tournaments or just to visit with Joe and Regina Corriveau. We had many laughs sitting around the kitchen table! We will miss your adventurous stories from your youth. We will miss that contagious smile and how it warms up a room! Terri and Gary

Dear Aunt Lillian et al, I was very sad to hear the news of the passing of Uncle John. It brought back to memory many wonderful times on the Blue Water that we shared. As a young boy , I was mesmerized by his personality, fun loving nature and physical strength. I learned from Unlce John how to work a full day and the importance of doing a good job. Uncle John was committed to his extended family and he will always be remembered for his generosity and goodness. Uncle John leaves a great legacy of fun, happiness and commitment to his family. Carman

Dear Lil and extended LaPorte family, it was with great sadness that we received this news this morning. Joe and I are away in Guadelope, and just a few minutes ago we saw a man with very distinct(handsome) LaPorte features, Guadelope is a French island, with many visitors from France, so I am sure there are some LaPorte genes here. John was one of the most pleasant people I have known, always a light heartened laugh and smile. He will be missed and remembered by many. Please accept our deepest sympathies.
