Suddenly at Seaforth Hospital on Tuesday February 28, 2023 of Harpurhey at the age of 66. Beloved husband of Jean (Van Den Berge) for over 44 years. Cherished father of Adam Lawson, and Mark Lawson. Loving grandpa of Dylan. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Bridgett Wilhem (Adgar), George Lawson (Shirley), Anita Lavallie (Allan), Anne Lawson Slaughter (Ron Petrany), Fenna Senneker (Jake), Wilma Dennis, Mary Ann Hyde (Blake), John Van Den Berge (Shelley), Betty Faulds (Lorne), Henry Van Den Berge (Marilyn), and Linda Pawson (Tim). Missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Joyce (Rundle) and Bill Lawson.
Walt had a passion for fast cars and had been racing cars for over 45 years. He loved both racing and fixing cars including his Dodge Challenger.
A private family graveside service will be held in the spring. Interment Harpurhey Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
