Please accept our deepest sympathy at this time. So sorry we were unable to make it to the visitation. You were in our thoughts and prayers. I always remember Elson as being such a friendly person, so kind hearted and gentle in his ways. He always asked how you were and seemed to care about what you said. His smile was a wonderful asset. I don’t ever remember seeing him without a smile present on his face. I can see him sitting in the church pews at many of the CLUC services over the years, again with that smile present. He will be missed and you have been blessed to have him with you for so many years. God bless each of you.

Dear Larry, Sharon, Joan, Gerry, Jim, Darlene and your families.
We are thinking of you this Sunday morning. Whether you are spending the day together or whether you are going about on your own may you have a special day as you think about Elson, share a memory, share a smile and a tear, and prepare for the next couple of days. One of my memories today would be going back many years and seeing Elson, Jean, Larry, Jim and Joan at Elimville Church on a Sunday morning. I can picture you in your pew as I type this.
Elson will be remembered by others as a respected community man and dedicated friend. You have your own memories of this man as your Dad and Poppa (Great Poppa too). Yes, for sure, Elson had stories and also a wealth of knowledge that he was willing to share with all who would listen.
Our deepest sympathy in your great loss but truly a time to celebrate a long and well lived life.

Dear Family,
Today there are so many memories of our dear family friend. He and Dad spent so many hours together sharing a love of the heavy horse, conversing about the neighbours and the neigbourhood. Fifteen years ago this date Dad passed away . These two have much catching up to do when their spirits reunite again. Always the story teller, we heard of the Owen Sound years as if we knew all of the people and places involved. We remember a Sunday picnic with the five families to Harrison Park. For Elson the drive to Owen Sound was like a drive to London for everyone else. We remember sleigh rides at the farm and many shared meals and celebrations. Our family has been richer for the friendship our parents shared. You have been richly blessed. Enjoy the memories. Share your stories. They are gift indeed.

How very sorry to hear of Mr. Lynn’s passing. He was a very fine gentleman and we know he will be missed.
We enjoyed his company and his recounting of his farm in Owen Sound and other interesting life experiences, including the shared love of horses.
