Peacefully at Kensington Village, London on December 21, 2023 of London and formerly of Dorchester, Egmondville, and Ilderton at the age of 79. Loving husband of Blondie (Mary Jean) (Boshart) MacLeod for over 55 years. Proud father of Natalie and Steven of Winnipeg and Scott and Melanie of Stratford. Devoted grandfather of Sarah, Jacob, Trinity, Bronwyn and Calum. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Murray and Peggy-Ann MacLeod, Jane MacLeod, Catherine and Leroy Felkar, Kathryn McDermott, Bill and Nell Boshart, and Jane and Daniel McCleary. Loved uncle of Derrick, Stace, Debbie-Lee, Lee-Anne, Mark, Greg, Darryl, Kevin and Michael. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Greta (Broadfoot) MacLeod, step-father Raymond Parr, brother Kenneth MacLeod and brother-in-law Jack McDermott.
Alex was born in Clinton and raised in Egmondville. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy and was stationed at HMCS Shearwater. After naval service, Alex worked for the Ford Motor Company in Talbotville until his retirement. Alex enjoyed the Seaforth Golf Club, woodworking, and travelling with Blondie to the southern USA in winter. He relished spending time with Natalie and Scott and their families. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Kensington Village who cared for Alex during his time there.
Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at the Egmondville cemetery in the Spring of 2024. Haskett Funeral Home, SEAFORTH entrusted with arrangements.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, the Humane Society London Middlesex or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Words, however kind, are unable to mend your heartache. Alex inhibited such an unselfish kind heart. We were only graced with his presence here at the Chantry for such a short time but could immediately see what a wonderful human being he was. Knowing Alex is free & at peace eases the sadness in all our hearts

Blondie and all – so sorry to hear this news. Alex was a smiley guy and he was one of our original volunteers at the Seaforth Country Classic. I picture him in his yellow and green, smiling at the players and the spectators, and thoroughly enjoying the whole golf experience. His buddies will miss him too.
