After a brief illness, Andy passed away peacefully at Jessica’s House, with his family by his side, on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Ora (Ward) Manz for 40 years. Cherished father of Carol Tremblett, Andy Manz Jr. and Tracy Boughner, Kris Manz, Jamie and Lindsay Manz, Jennie and Brent Kyle, Jolene and Philip Febbraro and step-father of Tim Hill, and Christina Hill. Adored grandfather of Jordan, Justin, Ryan; Brianna; Leah, Hannah; Ben, Charlie, Sloane, Mackenzie, Zachary, Emma, and future baby Spencer Andreas. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Bill Manz, Gunther and Nancy Manz, Gary and Marianne Manz, Bob and Kathy Manz, Dorothy and Armando Matos, Glenn Ward, John and Judy Ward, and Mac and Mary Ward. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Survived by loving mother Katherine Manz and predeceased by father Jakob Manz.
Andy was an avid sports enthusiast, watching and playing many of his favourite sports (baseball, broomball, and hockey) all of his life. He especially had a love for the Toronto Blue Jays. Along with his love for sports, Andy had a passion for gardening and lawn care. Throughout his working life, he worked at the Ford Plant in Talbotville, ON. Once “retired” he kept busy with his lawn care service. Lots of good conversations had and memories made with customers and friends. He and Ora made many trips to Florida that will be cherished forever as well as trips made to the local convenience store with grandkids. Andy will be fondly remembered by for his funny personality, and “firm” way of thinking and doing things.
In keeping with Andy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Sunday, November 6th, 2022 from 2 – 4 PM. Please dress casually.
