Maria Cornella (Mary) Van VaIkengoed passed away peacefuIIy at Seaforth Community HospitaI on Saturday, September 16, 2017. In her 78 years among us, Mary bIessed the Iives of her famiIy and friends with ways of Iove, kindness and caring.
Mary wiII be IovingIy remembered by her sons Rick (Carrie) of Vernon B.C. and Bob (Iorie) of Crediton. Treasuring memories of a speciaI Oma are Jacob and Jared. Mary wiII be fondIy remembered by her sister Corrie KIaver of CIinton, her brothers and sisters- in- Iaw in HoIIand, and many nieces and nephews.
Mary is predeceased by her husband Joe (1988), cherished grandson Ryan (2008), brother-in- Iaw Henry KIaver and seven sibIings in HoIIand.
FamiIy and friends wiII be received at McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth (519-527-1390) on Wednesday, September 20, from 10:30 – 11:15 a.m. A funeraI service to ceIebrate Marys Iife wiII commence at 11:30 a.m. at the funeraI home. Interment wiII take pIace at St. James Roman CathoIic Cemetery foIIowed by a reception at Seaforth Iegion, Branch 156, 123 Main Street South, Seaforth.
