Peacefully at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Sunday, February 25, 2018 in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Anthony “Tony” Adam Martene (2001). Loved mother of John and Addie Martene of RR 2 Ailsa Craig, Clare and Brenda Martene of Crediton, and Earl and Julia Martene of RR 2 Crediton. Loving grandma of Karen and Paul, Greg and Deb, Jeremy and Heather, Katlin; Elisha, Matthew and Chelsey; Jason and Jennifer, Brian and Sara, and Devon. Great-grandmother of Lucas, Leigh, Lucas, Amelia, Sierra, Rylie, Landen, Lilly, Hudson and Sullivan. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Pauline Miller of Zurich, Mary and Jack Hogan of Exeter, Marilyn Dixon of Lucan, Labelle Dixon of Claresholm, Alberta, Joan McFadden of Southampton, and Mildred Bearss of Port Colborne. Predeceased by her grandson Michael, brothers Hiram and Bill Dixon, and brothers-in-law Art Miller and James Orr. Also predeceased by Tony’s family: Eben and Martha Weigand, Charlie and Florence Martine, Edna and Allan Swain, Carrie and Homer Russell, Joe Martini, Elvin Bearss, and Don McFadden.
Friends may call at Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 148 Frederick Street, Dashwood on Wednesday, February 28th at 11 AM with The Rev. John E. Trembulak III officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery.
