Peacefully, on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the age of 77, at Kensington Long Term Care, London, David (Dave) McAdam, formerly of Lucan. Beloved husband of Theresa McAdam and the late Maria (Giesen) McAdam (1982). Loving father of Carla (Mark) Hunt of London, and loving godfather of Jen (Adam) Snell of St. Marys. Dave will be sadly missed by family and friends, especially his sister Joan (Bill) McConnell, and his brother Wes (Mirja) McAdam and their families. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Kensington and Dr. Whynot for the 24/7 care. Many thanks to Dr. Leger, Dr. Craig, Dr. Kling and Nurse Paula Day, for all their care and support throughout Dave’s journey. A special thank you to Stan Harrington for all the visits reminiscing about the good times. Dave will be remembered most for his kindness to others and his love of animals, especially his dogs.
Cremation and a private family service has taken place. Haskett Funeral Homes, Lucan entrusted with arrangements (519-227-4211).
If you would like to donate in memory of Dave please consider a charity of your choice.

Dear Theresa and Carla and all of your family. I was so sorry to hear about Uncle Dave. I really have so many fond memories of him from my childhood. I will never forget the day that he pretended to get lost on the way home from Lucan and instead drove us all the way to Grand Bend for a glorious day at the beach. It truly is one is my most vivid memories of unexpected joy. I loved the elaborate breakfasts he would cook; I still think of him when I cook potatoes and fried eggs in a cast iron pan. I will be thinking of you often in these next days and weeks, knowing that the grief will sometimes be overwhelming. But also knowing that all these shared memories are what will keep him alive in your hearts. Take care of each other. XOXO

Hi Carla – so sorry to hear of your father’s passing. The years have passed, but my mother, Eleanor Dawson, came every week to get her hair done by your dear mother. She loved your Mom and certainly always had some time to share with you and your animal buddies. I only came a couple times but you were one special gal! Big hugs, Heather

While I didn’t know Dave until he moved in to Kensington in 8th Ave him and my dad were buddies. I will NEVER forget being told on Christmas how much both my dad and Dave had enjoyed our turkey dinner. To this day it still makes me laugh.
Thinking of you in this time.
