Surrounded by the love of her family, Pearl Marjorie (Regele) McCallum passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Maitland Manor in Goderich.
In her 91 ½ years among us, Pearl was a source of love, care and kindness to anyone fortunate enough to know her. Pearl always approached everyone with a smile on her face and some home baked cookies, sticky buns or her many canned preservatives including chili sauce, pickled beets and many kinds of jam. She enjoyed her countless trips to the cottage, out west, out east and many Caribbean Islands with her husband Harold.
Pearl will be lovingly remembered by her children; Paul and Dianne McCallum of Walton, Ron and Betty McCallum of Walton, Marion McCallum and Merv Soleski of Stratford, Joyce and Jeff “Jake” Brown of Goderich, and Carl McCallum and Suzanne Jessome of Walton.
Memories of a fun and loving grandma will always be cherished by her grandchildren; Cindy, Colleen, Ken; Chad, Janice; Angeline, Carrie, Corey; Luke, Curtis and many great and great-great grandchildren whom she loved deeply.
Predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend Harold McCallum (2011), son-in-law Wayne Hartman (2011), great-grandson Travis (2018), sister Shirley Preszcator (2015), brother Lloyd Regele (2015), and parents Edward Regele and Idella Regele Hubley.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Monday, June 24th from 10 – 11:30 AM, where Pearl’s funeral service will be held at 12 noon. Interment Brussels Cemetery.
Stream the service live or at your convenience by visiting www.facebook.com/haskettfh
Donations to the Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation or Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters would be appreciated by the family.

Laverne and Nita McClure
I am remembering having to work in the booth at the Walton Ball Park during the kids ball tournament. Me, Nita never being good at that sort of thing, especially counting back change. All I knew is that I would be working with Pearl MCCallum. I had never met her before. So I sort of tried to explain to her that counting back change was not my high point. She reached in her pocket and pulled out a little pad of paper and a pencil and with such a warm smile she said ” Why do you think i carry this.” That special moment has always stayed with me and i always had so much respect for that very special lady with such a warm welcoming smile who made me feel so at ease that day. Our thoughts are with all of you. You all will have so many memories to treasure forever.

Our sincere condolences to Pearl’s family and friends,
As I write this message, I am listening to a CD of “old tyme mouth organ music” which Pearl loved so much! She was always so willing to help in the Walton community and she enjoyed singing in the choir at Duff’s church.
She is missed by many folks.

To Aunt Pearl’s children and their families. I am so sorry for your loss. I know you will miss her very much. I was so glad to get to know her more when I would take dad for his ‘Thursday visits’ when she would provide a hot delicious meal and then we’d play cards. (When dad still drove they would go for a long drive.) I so enjoyed hearing her play one of her many harmonicas and was so impressed with all her needlework creations (a valuable memory, one of so many). Always a smile on her face, a REAL LADY who will be missed by many. Love with hugs. Lynn ❤️🤗
