It is with great sadness that the family of Ken McConnell, (of RR1 Denfield), announce his passing on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the age of 83. Ken is survived by his wife of 60 years Judy (Revell) McConnell, his children Kim (Jason Rayner) and Ted (Becky), his grandchildren, Emma, Dylan, Mitchell, Grace, Taya and his 3 great-grand children. Dear brother and bother-in-law of Bob (Jean), Ted (Jill), and Donna (Mel Van Strien). He was loved, and will be missed.
Ken, loved music, teaching himself to play fiddle in retirement after a 40-year career at Coca-Cola, his classic cars and a good round of golf. He was a member of the Ilderton Lions Club for 47 years, and could often be found at the Little Beaver with friends, having a laugh over lunch. Ken (the “one eyed weasel”) was quick with a joke, would think you are all “finer than frogs hairs” and would want you to have “a funny day”.
A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at the Ailsa Craig Recreation Centre, 155 Annie Ada Shipley Street, Ailsa Craig on Saturday, May 28th from 1-3 PM . Haskett Funeral Home, Lucan entrusted with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Ilderton Lions Club or CNIB would be appreciated by the family.
