Paula, Jeff and Family , The news of the passing of your wee son, Brayden was devastating, shocking and fills me with great sadness. Paula, your family were my favorite patients at the dental office in Lucan. I think of you often. It was so nice to reconnect, when I saw you in Kirkton -I was able to get all the updates of your family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. A special hug to your mom and dad! Take care, keep strong.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. Although not in the same class, Austin and Brayden were “farm buddies” on the school playground. Know that your little boy touched many hearts and will be fondly remembered by all those who knew him.

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your precious little son. We
pray that our Lord will give you strength to bear the grief.
May the love and caring of friends and family be a comfort to you.
From someone who knows this kind of pain.
I’ll lend you for a little time, a child of mine, He said.
For you to love while he lives, and mourn when he is dead.
It may be six or seven years, or twenty two or three.
But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me?
He’ll bring his charms to gladden you, and shall his stay be brief.
You’ll have His lovely memories as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn.
I’ve looked the wide world over in my search for teachers true.
And from the throngs that crowd life’s lanes,I have selected you.
Now will you give him all your love, not think the labour vain,
Nor hate me when I come to call,to take him home again?
I fancied that I heard them say, Dear LORD Thy will be done.
For all the joy Thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we’ll run.
We’ll shelter him with tenderness,we’ll love him while we may;
And for the happiness we’ve known, we’ll ever grateful stay.
But shall the angels call for him much sooner than we planned,
We’ll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand.

There are no words that can erase the pain of losing a loved one, especially a child. Wrap yourselves in the love and comfort of family and friends and allow them to be your light at this dark time. Weep for your loss, get angry at the pointlessness of losing Brayden, then take comfort in your faith and thank your little angel for sharing his time with you.
