Passed away peacefully at LHSC – University Hospital on Friday, July 10, 2020 of London, in his 74th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Marjorie (Turner) McLean for 50 years (July 11, 1970). Proud dad of Dan and Nicole, Brent, and Scott and Miriam. Cherished grampie of Kyla, Hailey, Brianne, Emilia, and Lucas. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Gwen and Ray Devereaux, Mary McLean, Marion and Ken McClure, and Robert and Gail Turner. Special nephew of Helen MacLean, Ruth Flood, and Margaret Hayter. Ray will be forever remembered by all of his nieces, nephews, friends, neighbours and family. Predeceased by his son Robert Raymond (1972), parents Ken and Eileen (1986), brother Larry (1994), and parents-in-law Jeanette and Ralph Turner.
Ray met life’s challenges with an open heart and a sense of humour. He loved making people laugh, telling stories, and loved life. Ray was a member of I.B.E.W since 1967.
A private family funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 15th at 1:30 PM. Though the service is private, the family invites you to join with them from the comfort of your own home. Stream the service live by visiting www.facebook.com/haskettfh (no account required). Cremation with interment Exeter Cemetery.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Baby’s Breath Canada (SIDS Foundation) or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Condolences to you and the boys, Northridge will just not seem the same. Ray could talk cars with the best of em, and he had for sale one of the finest 84′ RX-7’s around. Things I’ll never forget are his kind offer to sell Granddad’s Car on consignment for a good solid $500, he even leased it out for awhile and in the end offered a check for just $200. Never did take that check, but with memories like the Santa Claus in July, midnight streetlight tear downs (watch those corners with the flat bed truck Ray! err smash!) and his unforgettable grin, I guess that $500 could be written off, if not for the laughs alone. Life’s short, but ohhh the memories.
