Passed away peacefully at her home, with her family by her side and her twin sister Marjorie speaking words of farewell, as she breathed her last breath, on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of Dr. Ray Meredith for over 67 years. Cherished mother of Cheryl Meredith Krueger (Paul), Diane Katz (Harvey), Sandra Field (Jeff) and Michelle Willows (Terry). Adored grandmother of Jessica (Pniel), Michelle (Moshe), Josh; Meredith, Kevin (Alicia), Robin (Daniel), Ryan (Brea), Sam (Jaslynn), Simon, Marshall (Madeline), Sean, Meredith (Eric) and welcomed new grandmother of Jonathan (Andrea), Joy (Chad), Michael (Rachael) and Matthew. Admired great-grandmother of twenty-two and honorary mother and grandmother of many, many more. Survived by her sister Grace Ross, twin-sister Marjorie Babcock, and sister-in-law Madge Shipshee.
Marion cared fiercely for her family and loved spending time with each of them. She prayed daily with Ray for each of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she never missed an event to cheer them on. Marion’s love language was service, and her home was always filled with people to love and who she made feel like family. She had a deeply committed faith. She fought to stay on this earth for many years because of her love for Ray and life itself.
A celebration of Marion’s life will be held at West Park Church, 955 Gainsborough Road, London on Sunday, February 5, 2023 with the tribute service starting at 3 pm, for those unable to join in person, the family invites you to stream the service from the comfort of your home. The live streaming can be found at https://youtube.com/live/Po5GTRRfwmQ?feature=share. Private family interment to be held prior at Medway Cemetery.
Gifts in lieu of flowers can be given to St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation – Dr. Ray and Marion Meredith Fund.

Dear Dr. Meredith,
Our deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your beloved wife, Marion. My mother, Jean Cook, also wishes to extend her deepest condolences to you. Though I only met her a couple of times (both while we were all doing our walks at Masonville Mall), it is her smile, that I remember. It sounds like she was a wonderful role model, and will live on in the kindness she shared and the love she brought to your lives, and many others as well.

Lynn and I wish to express our shared sorrow and condolences at Marion’s passing. I believe we feel as you do that this is a contradictory, …. bittersweet time in our lives that involves our loss and heaven’s gain. Marion’s pain has ended for eternity. So much of it has been used to bless our lives for so many years. She was one of the most selfless and giving people we have ever had the privilege to know. She made her home available to us on countless occasions over the years. We will never stop thinking of Ray and Marion as our spiritual parents and a warm and safe haven in time of our storms. We have always been on the receiving end of her prayers and support. Oh if we could learn to love others as Marion did. May our God bless and comfort you all as you wait to join her for the BIG reunion.
Martina Donnelly from Ireland.

I’m sending you love and hugs from across the Atlantic Ocean – Martina xxx

Sadness at the loss of a wonderful lady – remarkable wife, mother, grandmother and for the Walsh family the very best neighbour! Memories abound of our shared back yards, pool time, barbecues and the pleasure of watching the girls as they grew to be the wonderful women that they are. Any time over the years that I met Ray and Marion, she expressed a genuine interest in our family.
A life so well lived- she has for sure earned her rest.
Special hugs to you all

What a sweet sweet lady “finally home”. You have all cared for her so lovingly for a long time. She has struggled with so many issues, but never gave up and always had a smile. How nice that you could all be with her in her final hours. Ray, you have been amazing. I know you are a Dr. but it is hard to watch and care for one of your own when you can’t make them better I am sure. As a couple, they were always together and always willing to care and love others. We remember taking a houseful of youth to their home more than once and it was always such a treat for us all. God bless you during these difficult days-I know she was ill and ready to go to meet her Lord and Saviour, but it is still hard to say Good bye. Love to you all.
