Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 of Exeter in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late James (Jim) Chalmers (2003). Dear mother of Ron and Diane Chalmers of Clinton, Ken Chalmers and Helen Walsh of Oakville, Carol and Doug Miners of Elimville, Shirley Chalmers and Russ Berry of Clinton and Laurie and Amanda Chalmers of Acton. Dear grandmother of Corrine and Stephanie; Ryan, Kerry and Jaime; Danielle and Scott, John and Lindsay, Justin and Amber and Kelly and Billy; Tyler; and Liam, Ashlin and Cameron. Great grandmother of Tyler, MacKenzie and Jack. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Elizabeth and Bill Pare of Chatham, Anne McCormick of Sarnia, June and Tom Clarke of Petrolia, Roy and Ruth McCormick of Petrolia and Harold and Marlene McCormick of Australia. Predeceased by her brother William McCormick, and brother-in-law Frederick McGrail.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, where the complete funeral service will be held on Friday, May 21 at 11 AM with Pastor Doug Watson officiating. Cremation with interment at Exeter cemetery.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
