To Ray, Bruce, and Barry and all your families we extend our sympathy at the loss of your Mom and grandma. I always remember Auntie Marge as a sweet, kind lady who always took an interest in others (and always had a bag of candy tucked in her suitcase when she visited her nieces and nephews on our farm in Saskatchewan)! She has left a wonderful legacy! Thank you for live-streaming her funeral so we could all ‘there’ with you. A lovely tribute!

Ray, Bruce, Barry and families, Sorry to hear of Marj’s passing. Marj was always so delightful to visit with; interested in all of our lives and full of remembrances of times shared at gatherings many years ago or just a day before. Caught her service this morning by accident as we had been away and know she would have loved all the music. Remember so very much the music shared at Mac and Marj’s home on Whalen Line; Judy on the piano and her Dad playing the spoons and the rest of us singing away. She has left us with some very fond memories.

Dear Ray, Bruce, Barry and all your Families,
Your Mom was our link to our Mothers and we always felt so close to Marjorie over the last several years. She and Dorothy were great friends and she also worked with Mom Lil at Campbell Soup. She was always so interested in what was going on in the neighbourhood and we had some great phone chats when we could no longer gather at Church due to covid. I loved her laugh, and her kind and loving ways. I will never forget raiding my kids Hallow’en treats just to steal a piece of her famous fudge! May all your happy memories with her eventually replace the loss you are feeling today. xxoo

Dear Family,
We at Zion West will miss ” Our Marjorie” but what a celebration of her life must fill your hearts at this time. Her 97 years contained a lot of living, a lot of major world changes, and so many new inventions all of which her grandchildren and great grandchildren take for granted now. Marjorie was generous with her smile, and gentle conversation . She was always on deck for the various community happenings and if home made bread arrived is was appreciated to the final crumb. I am so glad we shared a part of her story. I wish your family a celebration of JOY.
Sincerely,
Margaret Hern

Marjorie and Mac were one of my favourite neighbours growing up in Whalen Corners. I could ride my bike for a visit and always loved the fresh smell of the baked bread and if we were lucky she would have Mango juice … oh and fudge at Halloween! We had many visits over the years, and I was always able to remember her birthday as it was just the day before mine. She was an amazing lady with a great laugh!
