Rob & Ann: I know this is yrs. too late, but I’m just reading these Condolences now. I did’nt really know your mother well, but she always treated me with kindness whenever I was in her presence. And, Sorry to see that your dad passed away in 1995! I’ll always remember, him driving me to London in Jan/68′ in his Red Pontiac, with my Mother panicking in the back seat, after I was shot in the head. And, I read that Roy McRobert died in Feb of this yr. Your son told me that Clare McRobert’s 40 yr. old son had been killed when his vehicle had been broadsided by another driver at an intersection. Nice to catch-up on memories, thru these “obituaries” (rather macabre isn’t it), but since we don’t have the Whalen Corners Reunions anymore, this is what I have to resort to. Nice to hear from Bruce & Barry Mills and Larry Hern and Marjorie Morley was always a Great Teacher, when I attended the “One-Room Schoolhouse” there in Whalen, from Grades 1 to 4. Many fond memories around the”Swingset” IFYKWIM! How’s Bruce Mills… last time we communicated, you told he that Bruce had Stage 3 Lung Cancer. Usually that’s terminal, but I hope he’s still around. I just turned 71′ on August 9th, so they must have known what they were doing in 68′, when I survived that Gunshot Wound to the Head. IF you happen to read this, I know how to reach you and Ann there in Exeter, so I’ll be in touch sometime.

Dear Janice & Bill … Rob & Ann … & Families . . . . .
It is with saddened hearts that we are sending our sincerest sympathy to all of you on the loss of your dear and caring Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Leona. She was a kind, sincere, hard-working, remarkable lady who will be missed dearly by all her loved ones. May your cherished memories put a smile on your face and comfort you through these difficult days ahead. It is always hard to see our once lively parents age and eventually leave this world behind – but know your parents are now reunited in Heaven forever. May the loving memories you have of your parents live on – in your hearts forever and help you through the difficult days ahead. “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal.” You have so many wonderful family, friends, neighbours and community – supporting you.
May God keep you in his loving arms, as you grieve and celebrate Leona’s life. She is now resting in the arms of the angels and may her journey to the next life be as great as she was on earth.
So sorry for your loss – HUGS to all!

Dear Janice & Bill, Rob and Ann, Aldeen and all your families,
We were so saddened to hear that Leona has passed. As a wonderful next door neighbour for many years, and the fact that she and Jerry shared their November 30th birthday, we certainly enjoyed many family celebrations together over the years. We even moved in with Leona & Bill for almost a week when we lost power during the big ice storm in the 1970’s…with 2 rambunctious boys that perhaps prepared her for her future grandsons!! Larry and I always enjoyed our visits with her in recent years and reminiscing about times gone by as well as hearing about all her grandkids and great grands too! She was so proud of you all! May all your good memories eventually replace the sorrow you are feeling now. Her memory will certainly live in our hearts forever. Love to you all….

Janice & Bill, Rob & Ann,
