It is with great sadness that Stephanie and Bob Harvey announce the passing of “Aunty Reen” at Strathmere Lodge on Friday, March 26, 2010, in her 103rd year. Noreen was a well-known part of the village of Ilderton, where she lived an active life that included much community service in such things as Junior Farmers, variety show productions, Fair Board activities and her church, Grace Anglican where she was an organist for many years. Noreen was the last surviving member of the Thomas and Annie (Priestly) Shipley family of Lobo Township. Noreen was predeceased by her husband George Graves (1977) and her sisters Rita (Meredith) Charlton, Gertrude (Cecil) Walls, Jean (Charles) Grieve, Eva (Stephen) Medd, Carrie (Donald) Shore and her brothers Elliot (Agnes) Shipley, Harry (Margaret) Shipley and Jack (Beatrice) Shipley. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She is sorely missed by her good friend Pat Thorsley of Edmonton.
Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held at Grace Anglican Church, 13301 Ilderton Road, Ilderton on Monday, March 29th at 11 AM with Father Daniel Bowyer officiating. Interment St. Georges Cemetery, Middlesex Centre.
Donations to Grace Anglican Church, Ilderton would be appreciated by the family.

I met your Aunt a long time ago when I was a teenager. My Dad & Mum used to take me to the Ilderton Fair. One day I was there with 2 friends from our 4H Club “Thrifty Kippenettes”. Noreen talked to us because we were wearing our 4H pins. My sincerest condolences. Such a kind intelligent lady.

I did not know Noreen for very long but long enough to know how wonderful and funny of a lady she was. She always had stories to tell that would keep you from working because they were either so interesting or funny that you wanted to keep hearing more. God bless you Noreen and family

Bob and Stephanie,
We were sorry to read of Noreen’s passing. She had a long and very fruitful life. You have taken such good care of her for many years and we are sure you will find a void in you life. We are still in Florida and will not be able to offer our condolences in person. Know that we will keep you in our prayers. Blessings!
